The latest Call of Duty title hasn't seen the same kind of initial sales as its predecessor. Yet, it's already the top-grossing console game of the year in the United States. NPD previously reported Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare topped the US charts for November.

Activation released a statement that says Infinite Warfare is "the #1 console video game in the US, based on year-to-date revenues from physical unit sales."

Revenue from digital sales is not included in the figure, though the game would presumably still be on top. Given the way the statement is worded, Infinite Warfare doesn't appear to be the top console game if you're looking at unit sales.

The inclusion of Modern Warfare Remastered in the $80 version of Infinite Warfare helped to increase sales of higher-cost units, thereby boosting the revenue.
