HTC is readying a press conference that is scheduled for January 12, which is tomorrow, where it plans to unveil its completely new smartphone lineup. Earlier today, both phones starred in live images, and now all key specifications have appeared online so we know what to expect from them.
The smaller HTC U Play packs a 5.2-inch Full HD display, MediaTek's P10 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. There are 16-megapixel rear and front cameras, a 2,500mAh battery and front fingerprint scanner.
The HTC U Ultra is a different kind of phone as it packs a 6-inch WQHD display, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835, 4 GB of RAM (base model), 64 GB of storage, dual rear cameras with 24 MP and 13 MP sensors, a 16 MP front camera, a 4,000mAh battery and a rear fingerprint scanner.
Both phones are expected to be using an all-glass frame and a secondary display, just like LG's V10 and V20.
