The very first images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro have been spotted on the TENAA website, courtesy of Roland Quandt. As expected, the Galaxy C7 Pro isn’t very different from the current Galaxy C7 in terms of the basic design language. In fact, save for a few minor differences here and there, the two smartphones look exactly the same.
While the images taken by TENAA have leaked on the web, the actual certification may take some time, so we will need to wait for a few more days to be able to get a clear idea of what to expect from the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro in terms of hardware specifications. However, most of the key specs have been revealed already, thanks to benchmark leaks in the past few weeks.
The Galaxy C7 Pro is expected to feature a 5.7-inch sized display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution, most likely a Super AMOLED panel. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core chipset, which is manufactured on a 14nm process for improved performance as well as battery life. Compared to the Snapdragon 625, Qualcomm claims the new Snapdragon 626 chipset delivers up to 10% higher performance. It integrates the Adreno 506 GPU and Qualcomm TruSignal antenna boost technology.
In terms of memory, the smartphone is expected to be identical to the Galaxy C7, packing 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be quite impressive in the camera department, with a 16MP sensor at the back as well as the front. It will come preinstalled with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, although an update to Android 7.0 Nougat might be rolled out soon after launch.
The Galaxy C7 Pro, along with the Galaxy C5 Pro, is expected to be announced next month in China. At this point it isn’t clear if the smartphone will be sold in markets outside of China.
