The smartphone could have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory
Xiaomi is said to be working on an upcoming smartphone in the Redmi Note series and images of the device have just leaked online. Xiaomi Note 4X is expected to be more powerful than the current Redmi Note 4 and some of its specs were revealed.
The leaked image of the Redmi Note 4X was spotted by Playfuldroid and it doesn’t show the design of the upcoming phone, but rather the About Phone section, thus confirming rumored specs. Apparently, the smartphone will be coming with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
The image also reveals that the device will be running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 processor, quite decent for a mid-ranger. It also appears to be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.1 on top.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X might have an improved design
Aside from specs, the images do reveal some design details, like the fact that the upcoming phone features relatively thin bezels in the front. Take this information with a grain of salt, as there’s no official information from the manufacturer regarding such a phone or its specs.
The Redmi Note 4X is expected to bring improvements to the Redmi Note 4, which was released this year. It had a powerful 4,100mAh battery, a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Moreover, the phone ran MediaTex 10-core Helio X20 processor, had a 13MP rear camera and microUSB support. It was offered in two variants, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and the second with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
Xiaomi is also working on the flagship Mi 6, rumored to be announced in April and not February as it was previously thought. The powerful smartphone is said to incorporate the latest Snapdragon 835 processor from Qualcomm and perhaps a dual-camera setup on the back.
