Could it be that Sony plans to launch a bezel-less Xperia smartphone with dual-edge curved display and completely different design? A blurry picture allegedly showing Sony's upcoming flagship smartphone, possibly named Xperia XZ (2017), has just been leaked.
The only thing that we can say with certainty is that the phone features an edge-less design as bezels are very thin, almost impossible to see in the blurry picture.
We can't say the same thing about the up and bottom bezels, which are pretty large by today's standards. The leaked picture also reveals the position of the front camera, proximity sensor and the speaker.
Another thing that's worth noting is the Xperia XZ (2017) won't feature a physical Home button, so the fingerprint sensor could be placed on the back side or in the front, right under the display.
We don't expect Sony to introduce the Xperia XZ (2017) in early January at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) trade fair. The Japanese company usually launches its first wave of Android smartphones in February, just before the start of the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
That means we still have plenty of time to learn more about the Xperia XZ (2017) and any other smartphones Sony plans to unveil in Q1 2017.
