New LG G6 Leaked Picture Shows Metal Frame, Thin Bezels

One of the flagships to be revealed at MWC 2017

By now it's pretty clear Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 won't be coming to MWC 2017 next month, while others like the LG G6 will be in the spotlights. However, by the time both handsets will go official we'll have learned quite a lot of things about their specs.

Having ditched the modular design in favor of a more compact and stylish design, the LG G6 has started to show its curve lines a few days ago thanks to a picture leaked online.

Today, we have another piece of the puzzle that reveals a couple of more details about the LG G6. It looks like the phone will feature metal frame and very thin bezels. The SIM tray is located in the upper part of the right side, while the front camera is to the left of the in-call ear.

Unlike previous LG flagships, the G6 features rounded corners, which might feel weird to those unfamiliar with the new form factor adopted by the South Korean company. Since we're only seeing half of the phone, it's hard to tell what other features the LG G6 hides.

LG G6 is suppose to go on sale weeks ahead of Samsung Galaxy S8

Still, we do know a couple of things about what's under the phone's hood. For starters, the LG G6 won't be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, and the same goes for many other flagships launched in the first half of the year.

LG G6 will be equipped with the next best chipset available on the market, the Snapdragon 821, but we don't have information about the amount of memory. Although 6GB RAM would be awesome, there's a high chance the G6 will only pack 4GB RAM.

Software-wise, the LG G6 will come with Google Assistant inside, and it will run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.

Also, the smartphone will boast a large 5.7-inch display that supports QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It will include both 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C ports, but the battery is non-removable.
