The smartphone is expected to be unveiled on April 6
Good news for Huawei fans and even greater for photographers, as new live pictures of the P9 flagship smartphone confirm the presence of a dual camera setup.
In the last couple of weeks, we've been hit with a controlled wave of leaked information about Huawei P9, so it's no surprise that the smartphone will come with two rear-facing cameras since this particular detail had been revealed a long time ago.
The new pictures published by aChinese blog also confirm the positioning of the fingerprint scanner on the rear side of the phone. Another important component that you can be sure will be included in the P9 is the USB Type-C port.
The new USB standard has already been adopted by LG and Xiaomi, as both G5 and Mi5 come with Type-C ports. On the other hand, Samsung has yet to add USB Type-C port in any of its smartphones.
Two loudspeakers are also visible at the bottom of the phone. The right side of the phone features the volume and power on/off keys. There's also a secondary camera on the front, possibly with LED flash.
After the partnership between Huawei and Leica was announced last month, it was clear that some upcoming handsets would include high-quality lenses made by the German company.
Four different versions could be announced on April 6
The Huawei P9 could be the first device launched by the Chinese handset maker that will come with Leica lenses. Speaking of launch, the P9 is now rumored to arrive on April 6, but we're still waiting for the official confirmation.
In the same piece of news, Huawei P9 will be available in four versions, each with different hardware configurations. The cheapest of the four, Huawei P9 Lite, is likely to be priced at $290.
Next in line, the standard version of Huawei P9 should cost $475 while the enhanced model is said to be priced at around $565. Last but not least, Huawei P9 Max might hit shelves for $630 outright.
