Alcatel may have finally gotten its feet wet in the Windows 10 Mobile pool with the Fierce XL on T-Mobile, but the company hopes to take things to a higher level with the rumored Idol 4 Pro, which just showed up on GFXBench .

GFXBench is a benchmark test used to quantify a device’s graphics capabilities while also revealing its internals. In this case, the rumored Idol 4 Pro is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which looks to be paired with 2GB of RAM. However, 3GB or 4GB of RAM would be just as likely to be paired with the burly processor.

Continuing our tour of the inside reveals 64GB of internal storage, though it’s unknown whether a Micro SD card slot can supplement the native storage. On the outside, you’ll find a 6-inch, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution display, with a 9-megapixel camera capable of 1080p self-portrait videos sitting above the huge display. Around back sits a 20MP camera, which looks to be capable of 4K video recording.

Because of the powerful hardware, we assume the Idol 4 Pro will support Continuum, Microsoft’s heavily-touted Windows 10 Mobile feature that turns your smartphone into a pseudo-PC. You’ll need the Microsoft Display Dock to get things going, as well as a keyboard and mouse, so costs can quickly add up, with Continuum only working for “universal” Windows apps. Regardless, it’s an interesting glimpse into a possible future for computing .

There is every reason to still doubt the Idol 4 Pro’s existence, regardless of its appearance on GFXBench. Even so, the HP Elite X3, another high-end Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, also made an appearance on the benchmark before its official unveiling during this year’s Mobile World Congress.

The rumored Idol 4 Pro should have a price tag to match its high-end status, though no such information has been announced. However, it’s rumored that T-Mobile will carry the handset sometime in the near future.
