During the media event held today by Huawei to introduce theHuawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus, the company unveiled the latest version of its TalkBand wearable device. The Huawei TalkBand B3 features the usual Bluetooth earpiece that is removed from the band.
Adding a higher grade chipset to the product allows it to produce 25% greater volume over the TalkBand B2, and improves anti-wind noise cancellation by 80%. That should help you hear better when using the earpiece.
The curved Gorilla Glass protected PMOLED screen has a 80 x 128 resolution, and the 91mAh battery will keep the TalkBand B3 working for three to four days without needing to be charged. And with a IP57 rating, the device is protected from dust and water. So yes, you can wear it while doing the dishes (that's a real soak test!)
There are three different styles available, Elite (Titanium Grey), Active (Black, White) and Classic (Brown, Beige). The rubber clad Active model is the least expensive, priced at the equivalent of $26 USD. The Classic will cost $31 USD, while the top of the line Elite will run you $38 USD. There is no word yet on when the TalkBand B3 will be available.
