The smartphone will be available in China on April 25

Chinese giant LeEco, previously known as LeTV, has just announced its new flagship smartphone, and judging by the specs, it’s a beast. Dubbed LeEco Le Max2, the handset has been officially introduced in China, but it’s likely to be available in other countries via Chinese online retailers.

Le Max2 is LeEco’s first smartphone that packs 6GB RAM inside, and one of the few soon to be available on the market. But that’s not the only thing that should make it stand out from other flagships in the same specs range.

LeEco priced the phone aggressively, so the most expensive variant won’t cost more than $400, which is quite impressive for such a powerful smartphone.

According to LeEco, the Le Max2 will ship with EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It will be available in three variants 4GB RAM and 32GB storage ($325), 4GB RAM and 64GB storage ($355), as well as 6GB RAM and 64GB storage ($385).

Customers in China will be able to purchase the LeEco Le Max2 on April 26, but the flagship is already available for pre-order in the Mainland.

World’s first USB Type-C audio with exclusive CDLA technology

Hardware-wise, the Le Max2 comes equipped with a powerful 64-bit 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Keep in mind, though, that the flagship does feature microSD card slot for memory expansion, so you can either have 32GB or 64GB of storage.

Another strong point of the phone could be the 5.7-inch in-cell IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and 450 nits of brightness.

There’s also a 21-megapixel camera on the back, which features a dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, phase-detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilization), 6P lens and 4K video recording. In the front, there’s a no less impressive 8-megapixel photo snapper with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.

LeEco Le Max2 is the world’s first smartphone that comes with the new Continual Digital Lossless Audio standard, which replaces the traditional 3.5mm audio jack.

Moreover, the flagship features Qualcomm Sense ID Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner with biometric security technology, as well as Infrared sensor.

Other highlights of the phone include 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port, and 3,100 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
